British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
